Imagine winning the lottery but not knowing you have won. Now imagine that your winning lottery ticket is worth $132 million and not knowing you have won. That is exactly what has happened in the community of Mableton, a town near Atlanta, Georgia.

The Georgia Lottery Mega Million Jackpot is worth $132 million and someone has hit it. Though as of this weekend, no one has claimed the prize. The Mableton Chevron has been told that the winning ticket was sold at their store but the clerks are not sure who was sold the ticket.

A clerk from a neighboring Chevron, Amanda Fullen, has stated that the store who sells the winning ticket gets $25,000 so gossip has been rampant on whom it could be. Fullen has stated, she believes the winner is hiding, “They don’t want to let anybody know they won.”

J.B. Landroche the Georgia Lottery Corp Spokesman has stated that they have confirmed where the ticket was sold and as of Saturday they had not been contacted by the winner. They believe the winner may try and cash the ticket on Tuesday after the Labor Day holiday. Landroche says the winner has 180 days to cash in the ticket.

On August 22nd, a resident if Buford won $5 million from the Georgia Lottery during the 15th anniversary Millionaire Extravaganza scratch off game. Also this past Friday, along with the large $132 million winner, two players won $10,000 in the Mega Millions drawing.

It will be interesting to see if the winner of the $132 million will show up to claim their prize after the holiday or if it will remain a mystery for longer. It could be that the winner does not even know they have won this extraordinary prize.
