$2.5 million won in Australian Lottery; Winner Still a Mystery
The owners of the Coolangatta Newsagency in Australia are searching for a recent lottery winner. Michael and Janet Hammond recently found out they sold a winning ticket worth $2.5 million in last week’s Gold Lotto Draw. The couple is encouraging anyone who may have bought a ticket for that lottery to check and see if they won.

Eight winners earned money that night across the continent of Australia and one of those wins came from the Hammond’s store. The ticket was not registered so the Hammond’s are unable to determine who the winner is.

However they are very excited to have sold a large winning ticket. Janet Hammond commented that although many tourists buy tickets from them she would love it if a local person won. She also commented that many are coming and checking their tickets.

Now the Hammond’s are recommending people come to their store to purchase their lotto tickets as they are now a ‘lucky’ store. Their daughter reminded everyone that the Powerball jackpot is now up to $10 million so I would bet that those who are checking their tickets are also buying new ones for this week’s lottery draw.
