Imagine having a lottery ticket and losing it. Then imagine finding out that the lottery ticket you had could be the winner of a large cash prize. Very frustrating huh? Well one man from Vermont recently became very frustrated when he lost the lottery ticket his mother had given him as a Christmas present.

The Vermont man’s mother had bought the lottery ticket for his as a Christmas gift. The ticket was for the December 24th Tri-State Megabucks drawing. The ticket was placed in a gift bag that the man unknowingly threw away.

Later on the man’s wife found to that the only winning ticket had been sold in their town. She quickly sprang into action and searched the trash. Luckily she found the ticket. It was worth $650,000. That is a very expensive Christmas Present to be thrown in the trash.

It is amazing that the ticket was found. I’m sure the man’s mother will be getting a nice prize for buying her son the winning lottery ticket.
