$9.1 Million Lottery Prize Still Unclaimed in Wisconsin
It is amazing how a lottery prize can increase to the point where the winner would receive an unbelievable amount of money. Lotteries are known to climb in the millions and even into the hundred millions where people never have to work again if their numbers line up correctly. In Wisconsin the lottery is up to $9.1 million and it has been won, except the winner has not come forward to claim their prize. A lottery ticket sold in Sheboygan about two weeks ago was the winner of the $9.1 million jackpot. However the ticket remains unclaimed. The ticket was sold at a Qmart on November 8th and is the largest winner in Sheboygan’s twenty year lottery history.
Andrew Bohage, a spokesman for the lottery, stated: “With this size prize, it’s been as quick as a few days; and four to five weeks might be more of an average. A lot depends on if there’s more than one person involved in terms of owning the ticket.”
The winning numbers drawn were 02, 06, 41, 44 and 48. The winner has 180 days to claim their prize, according to the lottery rules. Once claimed, the winner has sixty days to decide to take the $9.1 million in annual installments or take onetime cash payment of $5.1 million.
