£95m is Jackpot in EuroMillions Lottery
£95m is up for grabs tonight in the EuroMillions jackpot the world's biggest ever lottery prize. With the high payout every one is trying to get a slice of the huge prize and tickets are expected to go at a rate of 1.5m an hour.
If there is a winner it will be the highest winnings ever in the UK.
This is not the highest total however in 2006 it grew to £125m but there were three winners to that jackpot that split the money.
The current record for the highest win goes to an Irish mother of six who, last July, won £79m in the EuroMillions drawing. The latest big win was £35.4m last August won by a Glasgow postal administrator.
British players get very excited when big jackpots come around. We see a huge rise in sales at lunch time and after work," said a Camelot spokesman.
EuroMillions is played in the UK and eight other countries: France, Spain, Austria, Belgium, Ireland, Luxembourg, Portugal and Switzerland.
Tonight’s prize cannot rollover though and if no player matches all the winning numbers, the £95m will be distributed among winners in the next prize level.
