Co-workers often play the lottery together, each placing a small amount of money to buy a ticket or two and then if winnings were earned, the workers would split the prize. Fifteen employees of the El Camino Hospital in Mountain View, California have been playing the lottery for years when it finally paid off.


The group matched five of the six numbers in the most recent MEGA Millions draw to win $158,951. The co-workers plan to use their winnings to buy Christmas presents, laptops and television sets. Lottery officials mentioned that one man planned on not telling is wife about the winnings but she would most likely find out as she is the one who files their taxes.

The winning ticket was purchased at a Liquor store in Palo Alto which will earn money as well for selling the winning ticket. This win just goes to show that when people work together they can win the lottery and earn a good chunk of money while doing so.
