Good Friends Split Lottery
Curtis Coble is a good friend; this former Marine has been buying lottery tickets for himself and friend Walt. Walt is a diabetic as is Coble but Walt doesn’t has a car. The two men live close together in Burlington N.C.
Coble says every time he runs errands for Walt they buy lottery tickets. “I get two sets, one for me and one for him,” he said.
This week was no different, during the errands; they bought $20-worth of Powerball tickets with Power Play. The hope is that when the numbers come out on Wednesday, if they win, they would split the winnings.
This Thursday morning over coffee they found out that that one of Coble’s tickets matched the winning number and the Powerball which means they won $10,000.
As soon as the check clears, Coble says, they will split it.
Coble just started getting disability payments three months ago and says that this money could not have come at a better time.
Are they done now playing the lottery? According to the new winners, no because, “we are still going to hit the big one, we just don’t know when.”
