Surprises are nice especially on your birthday. Whether it is a cake or nice present, most everyone enjoys a nice surprise. One woman of Indiana was recently surprised by her husband on her birthday when he told her he had won $100,000 in the Hoosier Lottery.

Jay Eades kept his winning a secret for five days so he could surprise his wife Brooke on her birthday. Eades played the Hoosier Lottery Golden Palace scratch off game and won $100,000 on April 15th. Eades purchased his ticket at a Granger 66 and Subway gas station near his home.

Eades waited until the couple’s children had given Brooke her gifts and then said he had another surprise for her. He then showed her the winning ticket. Eades said that he was most excited about the win once his wife was told.

The couple has plans for the new found money but the most important on the list is to help their oldest son, age 17, pay for college at Purdue University.
