Jilted Winner Wants Lottery to Pay Up
Just a few days ago we reported on a man from Texas who lost his lottery winnings to a thief. Willis Willis lost his $1 million after the store clerk stole his ticket and fled the country. Willis now wants the Texas Lottery to pay up or he will sue.

Willis has told the Commission that he will sue them if he is not paid his $1 million prize. Sean Breen, Willis attorney, stated that Willis should not be forced to sue to collect his prize. Pankaj Joshi has been accused of telling Willis that his $1 million Mega Millions ticket bought in May was worth only $2. Joshi then took the ticket and cashed it in, got paid and then left the country.

It is believed that Joshi returned to his native country, Nepal, after he received the $750,000 in his bank account. Joshi is now charged with claiming a lottery prize to fraud. Around half of the prize money has been recovered from United States banks according to Patricia Robertson and she stated that some of that money will be given to Willis.

Willis commented earlier this week that he hopes he will have the money as soon as possible. Willis commented that he never thought Joshi would do this as he respected him and never noticed anything. Willis had been buying tickets from Joshi for four years before this happened.
