Mayor of Lawrenceville Wins $250,000 in Lottery
Rex Millsaps is the mayor of Lawrenceville and he hit the big one on Friday when he won $250,000 dollars from the lottery. "I wasn't playing the lottery," Millsaps joked Wednesday. "I was supporting the HOPE scholarship."

Millsaps is 57 and plans to give his winnings to his children and grandchildren after he pas for his youngest daughter Karla's wedding and of course he has to do a little something for himself so he is going to get his truck detailed as well before he gives them his winnings.

He doesn't have any plans on quitting his day job and is going to be running for reelection in November. The mayor bought a Mega Millions ticket a few weeks ago when the grand prize was momentarily over $100 million dollars, he only matched six numbers one of them being the Mega Ball number and won $2 dollars.

He then turned the $2 dollars into two more tickets and last Saturday morning he was on the phone with his wife when he checked the lotto numbers online and saw that he had won $250,000 dollars this time around, a great improvement from his win last week.
