New York Lottery Player Wins Large Prize on Friday 13th
Friday the 13th is supposed to be a day of superstition and bad luck. Well for one lucky lottery player it was a day of Great luck! An anonymous player from Wyandanch, New York won the Mega Millions lottery this past Friday the 13th which was for a total of $26 million. The player purchased a ticket at the P&T supermarket and had yet to claim their prize by Friday evening. Ramon Torres runs the supermarket and he said the jackpot ticket was worth $26 million if the installment plan was chosen or $17 million if the cash option is chosen.
Torres also stated that this is the biggest lottery sale he has ever seen. Last year he sold a scratch off ticket worth $30,000, far below the millions won by anonymous player. Because the ticket was sold at Torres store, he will receive $10,000 from the lottery. Torres stated that he would use the money he earns for a college fund for his children.
The anonymous player should claim their prize soon, once they realize they have won. The winner is most likely waiting till today when the lottery office is open to claim their large win.
