Ontario’s Alcohol and Gaming Commission To Investigate Lottery Wins
There have been a lot of claims and suspicious claims about certain lottery wins in Ontario. These lottery wins that are under attack started back in January. According to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. they will be taking a close look any insider wins that are over $10,000 now that they are ran by a new regulatory body. Now with the new rules in place those who win any amount under $10,000 will be watched and tracked through a new database that was created which should make things move much smoother now.
According to Teresa Roncon, “This will provide our customers with a greater amount of security and greater integrity in our lottery product. That’s the priority at OLG. We’ve been working very hard on this for many months.”
All this comes after the scandal that happened in the early part of this year after certain so-called lottery insiders. But many still feel that there is a long way to go in making sure that things straighten up. And there is yet to be word of what will happen to those retailers who end up being found guilty of lottery fraud. Many people are suggesting that those found guilty should have their assets frozen.
