Everyone loves to watch the Oscars. There is just something magical about seeing your favorite celebrities dressed up in the latest fashions, looking oh so debonair, or watching your favorite actor win the Best Actor award. Most people only dream of being there at the awards but for a few lucky lottery winners, their dream will come true.

For one week only, movie fans will able to register to win a seat along the walkway at the famous Kodak Theater. Three hundred seats are available along the one hundred and fifty meter long walkway. The winners will be able to see all the celebrities as they arrive for the Oscars. Fans can register at the Oscars website to participate in the online lottery. The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, who give out the awards, are holding the lottery. Up to four seats can be registered but with only one form per person or group will be accepted.

People, who win, will be selected lottery style. The winners will be notified in October and will be required to submit additional information for security purposes prior to their final approval for the seat. From there winners will receive a confirmation letter in December.

After the arrivals are over, the winners can then move to a nearby location to watch the Academy Awards telecast. The 81st Academy Awards ceremony is set to begin on February 22nd 2009. The Academy has stated that over the years, over 20,000 fans have applied for the bleacher seats.
