When you think of the number thirteen you usually think of bad luck or superstition right? That is not the case for thirteen co-workers at the Edmonton, Alberta financial company. The thirteen women work on the thirteenth floor of their office and they recently won $49.9 million playing the lottery.

The women won the third largest lottery ever of the 6/49 jackpot when it was drawn this past Wednesday. All thirteen women work for the ATB Financial and according to a non-winning co-worker the lucky ladies plan on leaving their jobs.

The woman commented to a local newspaper that employees have been joking that management must be worried that they will have to replace thirteen workers at once. Another running joke is that since the lucky women could be leaving other employees may not get paid as the women worked in the payroll department.

This is an amazing and exciting win and it just goes to show that there really are no unlucky numbers just very lucky people.
