Tonight’s lottery drawing could be very exciting for lottery players if their numbers are chosen. Since Friday’s drawing resulted in no winner, tonight the jackpot is up to $31 million. One lucky winner could win the large jackpot tonight.

Even though the large jackpot was not won players still managed to win some money. Two players won $250,000 by matching five numbers without the Mega Ball and twenty two winners matched four numbers plus the Mega Ball to win $10,000 each.

One citizen, new to the area, commented on the Mega Millions: "Wow, Mega Millions is pretty cool," says James Calderon of Grosse Point Park, Michigan. "Even the third prize is high up there. I just moved to Michigan from South Florida and I am definitely going to start playing this Mega Millions thing."

Twelve States participate in the Mega Millions and for just one dollar bet players can win prizes from two dollars to millions. The drawings are held on Friday and Tuesday nights at 11pm Eastern. Over 35 percent of the lottery earnings go to support education and other government services.
