Two Odd Lottery Wins in One Week
It is amazing to win the lottery, whether it be you, your spouse or a family member, it is usually a once in a lifetime opportunity, if that. Imagine if you and your spouse or family member won the lottery at the same time. Wouldn’t that be amazing? One couple did just that, winning the lottery on two separate tickets. Verlyn and Judith Adamson of Wisconsin won $350,000 each when they both bought lottery tickets from different stores. Verlyn bought his ticket at a gas station in Mineral Point and his wife bought her ticket at a convenience store in Barneveld. Both purchased a ticket using the same lottery numbers.
Judith asked Verlyn if she could use the same numbers that her husband was using and he said yes. Those numbers resulted in the couple gaining $750,000 to their name. Verlyn is an accountant who works under his wife, and claims that he is able to figure out which numbers to choose to win. Verlyn has claimed that he has used the system to win with the lottery but has never won this big.
Verlyn has not revealed the winning system to anyone and probably never will. Verlyn says he has used the method for twenty years. As an accountant, he knows a lot about numbers and likes to play math puzzles, which is probably how he figured out his system.
Another odd win took place in Indiana, when a man accidentally forgot to his glasses, so when Bobby Guffey bought his lottery ticket he gave the wrong numbers. Bobby wanted to use the birthdays of his five children but entered a 48 instead of a 46.
Realizing his mistake, Bobby went back to the gas station and bought another ticket with the right numbers. Bobby ended up winning $1,000 with that ticket and an amazing $3 million for the mistake ticket. Bobby and his wife plan on paying off their mortgage with the winnings and setting up trust funds for their children and grandchildren.
