A Virginia man has won the local lottery but in an odd way. The man purchased eleven tickets with the same numbers. The numbers were a winner so he won the top prize of $100,000 eleven times which equals $1.1 million.

The man’s name has yet to be released but according to the Virginia Lottery, the man bought the tickets with the numbers 10-13-18-23-30 for the Saturday Cash 5 drawing. All of the numbers picked were significant to the man as some symbol of family’s birthdays.

This is an amazing win, as all of his tickets won the $100,000 first place prize. John Hagerty is a spokesman for the Virginia Lottery and he commented: “You see this sometimes, where someone buys several tickets for the same game with the same numbers just because they like those numbers and they have a hunch or a feeling. This time, it paid off big time for this guy.”

I imagine the lucky man is very thankful that he purchased so many lottery tickets with his “lucky” numbers.
