Washington Man Wins Large Lottery Jackpot
Martin Crabtree, from Aberdeen, Washington stopped at a local market last week to pick up a few things and maybe buy a lottery ticket. Little did Crabtree know his actions that day would result in a $100,000 lottery win. Crabtree picked up a few groceries and bought a $10 scratch ticket this past Thursday. After purchasing the ticket, Crabtree found out that he had won $10. So he thought he would use the money he just won to buy another ticket.
Crabtree stated that he usually buys a couple every now and then and since he had won $10 he could use it to buy a $10 ticket. Crabtree bought the extra ticket and left the store. He sat down in his truck and scratched it. Crabtree thought at first his win was not real. He said he looked at the numbers and thought they were wrong.
Crabtree then waited until all the other customers had left and reentered the store. The clerk then verified the ticket and Crabtree had indeed won $100,000. Crabtree then waited a few hours before texting his fiancé to call him.
When she did he told her the good news. Crabtree said the money came at the right time. He will use his earnings to pay for medical and dental bills for his two year old daughter that his insurance company would not pay. He will also use the funds to pay down on a larger house and buy Christmas presents.
